"Bootleg Blues" is a Yugoslav acoustic
blues band formed in November 2000 in Belgrade. The
band plays a mixture of traditional "roots"
blues, traditional jazz, ragtime, gospel and new acoustic
music. The repertoire follows blues from its beginnings
covering the entire 20th century (with original arrangements)
and also includes source material.
It is the only bend of this kind in this part of Europe.
The band is especially known for its excellent live
performance, qualities of all bend members (together
and as individuals) and interesting and original choice
of instruments.
"Bootleg Blues" is a quintet:

- slide guitar ("Johnson" metal, style
"O" biscuit bridge slide guitar, Fender
"Bullet" electric guitar) and vocal.

Marko Čabrić
- guitar (1935 "National Steel Trojan","Regal"
spider bridge slide guitar and guitar banjo).

Sava Ristić
- harmonica (blues harp).

Milan Ivković
- bass (upright bass, acoustic fretless bass and
"Fender Precision " electric bass).
"Bootleg Blues" performed in most blues
/ jazz clubs in Yugoslavia. The bend also participated
in blues festivals such as: opening the "Blues
Express Revue" in Belgrade in January 2002,
opening the "International Weiffert Blues
Summit" in Pančevo in April 2002, "Vox
Blues Days" festival in Belgrade in fall
2002, "Summertime Blues" festival
in Pančevo in June 2003. The band is sheduled to perform
at the annual, international "Šabac Blues
and Jazz festival", on August 31st 2003.
